David, My mom and I just attended your show in Des Moines, IA. Your music and lyrics were so truthful and I felt them deep within myself. Thank you for sharing yourself with us and making it easier for me to believe that I too can someday be a cancer survivor of ten plus years.

jazzman joe, Ankeny,Iowa,
Hi David,I met you prior to the concert in DesMones last night, you were outside to the rear of the Hoyt Sherman perforing arts theater. My late wife succumbed to multiple cancers eleven years ago.She fought the battle for 16 years. Betty & I both wish to thank you for the inspirational words and music in your program. Continue to take every minute, hour and day as a gift........may god bless your mission....VBR Joe & Betty

Just wanted to let you know that we are going through david withdrawals!!!! Thank you for coming, thank you for performing, thank you for the stories, thank you for the strength. You are amazing! We will have you back SOON!!!! In the mean time - please let us know if you need us for "roadies" or for CD sales (or ANYTHING else). Kelly, Andy, and Abbie

Jan Hereid, Indianola, IA
David, I just saw you last night in Des Moines -- you had another "angel thing" going on -- last night, right before I ran out the door to the concert, I had a hard time deciding what shoes to wear -- the ones I picked had Rafael's Angels on them -- it's not the pair I usually wear... I might not have seen the angels, or heard the angels, but they were there on my feet!! Thank you for a great concert -- I look forward to purchasing more of your CDs!! You are an inspiration to us all!!

karen morrell, van meter, iowa
David, I just attended your concert in Des Moines at Hoyt Sherman. Thank you for telling your story in such a amazingly beautiful, inspirational and humorous way. My mother is currently battlling lung cancer. She could not attend, due to her health, but I did pick up one of your CD's for her. I pray that your message of hope and faith will lift her spirits and let her know that she is not alone in this fight. Bless you.

Paulette Lawrence, Upton, MA
David, I would be honored to tell you once again how much I have admired your talents and have been inspired by your songs. I have been to two concerts in the Massachusetts area and have to say that I have been to many concerts by famous musicians (some my favorites of all times) but your concerts far above exceed all I have been to...there is something about hearing the truth in your songs that rests in the soul and comforts it......I don't think I have ever been so moved by any one individual in my lifetime...your name and face will always have a place in my heart...you truly are Gods gift to this weary world.........HOPE exudes from your pores!......thank you for being who you are!.......and I thank Jesus for your gifts!....Your sister in Christ.........Paulette Lawence

Juliet Eicholzer, Princeton, MA
I just viewed your "david's stupid debut youtube video experiment". I love it! You really are a master. It is too bad that so many people don't get to view it. I forwarded your e-mail to all of my friends. I hope they will visit youtube to view it. It is good for anyone who is feeling down and alone not just brain tumor survivors. BIG HUGS.

B Johnson, , fl
My daughter was diagnosis and has surgery on April 13, 2007-anaplastic astrocytoma WHO III. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy. In September she is to have reconstructive surgery because a piece of her skull needed to be removed because of the massive brain swelling. My mother was diagnosis with a Schwanoma in June 2007 and has the gamma knife procedure in July 2007. Her brain tumor is benign and is currently under control. At my office, there is also another family with a member who has brain cancer. He is currently at Shanes in Gainesville, FL. Two families working in a company of 700 employees what are the odds. They have been going through this for about 2 1/2 years. Brain cancer effects everything human about the victim. I wish there was more hope. I saw David at the FBTA Conference in Tampa, FL, February 2008. He is a gifted artist and I hope some day he has a concert in Orlando. I only hope have better treatment is available for brain cancer patients soon. David, that you for you words and courage to perform share your story

Lisa McCormack, Sewickley, PA

elaine, toledo, ohio
Please keep on writing and singing from your heart - discovered you on your CD HOPE when I just began the long round of something's wrong but nobody knows how to help deal. Several years later, I'm living and each day is a gift and I can still work with my 14 toddlers in daycare 5 days a week because when the day is tough you always have a song that plays in my memory and I get thru the day. God bless you always in all of His wonderful ways.

Becky Rose, Virginia Beach, VA
Hi David, Becky Rose here! We met on a USAirways flight. I was a Flight Attendant at the time (for USAirways) but not working that flight. We sat next to each other in First Class. I have yet to see you perform, but I always check your tour dates and cities. I see you're going to be in Pittsbugh, however I no longer live there since I have left the Airlines and now work for an Insurance Co who has a form of Reptile, and a Cavemen for mascots :>)) I'm in Virginia Beach, VA now. Christopher Morris, Nether Heage, Derbys, UK
I received a complimentary CD of David's work when attending a brain tumour conference. I play it again and again. Diagnosed with a Glioblastoma Multiforme 3 years ago, I was delighted to receive the messages of hope as presented by David, I was also pleased to note his references to our saviour and the support he gives us all, if we but ask. Well done David, please keep producing your superb songs.

John & Susan Bailey, Erie, PA
David, Though we've never met, we've certainly been deeply blessed by your music and by your family. We feel blessed to be close enough to your parents to see them periodically and doubley blessed when Sarah comes to their home and we get to see her. Our hope is that our paths may cross in God's good timing and that we be able to give you our love and best wishes first hand. In His Service, John & Susan

patti Boehlke, baraboo, WI
Hi David: I too am a survivor of Glioblastoma Multiforme. Diagnosed in Sept 05, I'm closing in on my 3 year anniversary of survivorship. In fact just last week I had my 5th brain surgery to remove tumors that had come back. It is certainly a challenge to wake up everyday with hope when this disease is so devasting, but by the grace of God I am filled with hope and faith everyday. My life is so rich there is no room for despair and depression and I choose everyday to live with hope that is steadfast and unwavering. You have been an insiration to me and I have several of your CD's. My favorite song is "Everything will be alright". I just cant' seem to hear those words enough. I have a much bigger story than I can tell here but let me just say I know that I'm going to be OK, God has given me that gift and whatever that means, I'm am so fine with the path that God has chosen for me and I'm trusting in his loving care. I would love to meet you someday and I'm actually working on that. A concert in Baraboo WI is on my list to get accomplished so be ready. Just keep on singing and writing those beautiful songs of Hope! Peace, Patti Boehlke

John T Dunn, Ballwin, MO
David, I first discovered your music when searching the internet for hope. I was just diagnosed with Glioblastoma multiforme in August , 2002 at the age of 35. I had the world ahead of me, no worries, two young children, a graduate degree, rising career, a wonderful , loving wife, with her own professional career , WHAM . I needed hope. I found your story, and your music. Your music has been with many a mri since the first. I can’t describe what a blessing it is to have your music to listen to. Six plus years later, I struggle. I am alive, I have lost a lot. I have discovered life is about “Get To, NOT HAVE to”. I love your music. jtdunnjr@aol.com 6 year gbm survivor

Robert Lanier, Newport News, VA

A Syllogistic Compliment: Inspiration is vital to a fulfilling life. David's music is inspiring. Therefore, David's music is vital to a fulfilling life. Chair, The Committee of Philosophers for a Fulfilled Life

Daniel Nelson, White River Junction, Vt
Hello David. The blessing of loosing all that stuff you used to keep you up is that it gets to be renewed, refreshed, and updated. So you get to be lifted up even higher. I often think a series of thoughts would somehow make a good song idea but don't even know where to begin. Then I see guys like you just sing the words that come, not trying so hard to make them "a song", just singing for the shere joy of it, letting the music assist the words in saying whatever it is that's trying to bust out. And all I can say is "GO FOR IT!!!" Dan Nelson

Cindy Rodriguez, san antonio, tx
David- I first heard you at a cancer retreat in Hunt, Texas.(2007) You were encouraging, funny, and reminded us often how much you liked coffee. I enjoy sharing your story with others. The last three times you were at McGregor Pres on St. Andrew's Rd in Columbia my husband BJ and I had the privilege of hearing you sing and play. You even agreed to have your picture taken with me, a recovering lymphoma patient. Your handshake and intense gaze when you are speaking with someone is awesome - as is your music. God certainly has His hand on you!

Lauri Holland f/k/a Lauri Tondryk, Honeoye Falls, NY
David, I cannot say enough. You were with me during my first year after diagnosis. A diagnosis of 12-18 months. Ofcourse that was almost 10 years ago. Your story, songs and lyrics have been so important to my everyday life. Thank God for Lisa Gibson, who first told me about you.

Anita Wilkerson, Gaithersburg, MD
David: Sorry to hear about the lost guest book. I've followed your career since the beginning and you serve as a daily inspiration! Keep on doing what you're doing...

Dana, Denver, CO
david, your music is a regular part of my life - It comforts me when I am having a hard day. It reminds me that I am not alone. It inspires me, lightens my heart, brings a smile to my face. I am so grateful that you've followed your heart and are sharing your gift with words and music. You make the world a better place! Please come to Denver again soon!

Myrna McDougal, Cuyahoga Falls, OH
No problems with your web site. Keep up the great work that you do by spreading a positive image of what it means to be a survivor!

Valerie Richmond, Bermuda,
Dear David, I'm trying to repeat my comments on your Gestbook in 2007, when I first learned of you, from your good friend Nancy (who addresses many of the ABT functions). She gave us 2 of your CDs. I mentioned that I am also a brain tumor survivor, as is my sister, Shirley. (We first met Nancy online, then she came to Bermuda and we met her in person) and that I so related to your story. Since that time, I have listened to your 2 CSs many times. Your music lifts my heart and soul - each song is like a sunbeam shining in with lots of light. Sending you best wishes, as you continue your life's work, giving back so much to life in general, and to your admirers. Valerie

Rob Hornstra, Lake Quivira, KS
I don't understand the retype word concept; but we'll do anything David M Bailey asks I wonder what the three dates in Louisville are for in May?

Andrew van Heiningen, Hemel Hempstead, UK
David, from the early days reading your poetry to the present album it's been really great seeing the progress and drawing inspiration from your lirics. I'm sure there'll be at least 10 more albums! Hope to see you on your next visit to the UK. Beste! Andrew

Katy Schurig, Royal Oak, MI
I have had the pleasure of hearing your music for the last ten years and never leave home without my david cds! I sing them all the time, out loud sometimes:) but especially when I have to have my yearly MRI. If I close my eyes, and repeat your lyrics I can ALMOST pretend I'm not stuck in a tube with loud noises going off every two seconds!! Thank you thank you thank you!!

Nancy Parson, St. Joseph, Mo.
God Bless you, David. Your family, and your work. I've been listening and enjoying your music for some years now, thanks to my daughter for discovering you. I have even gotten to see you one time, and my daughter got to see you and get her picture taken with you. She was so proud of that. Marlene died because of the side effects of a brain tumor. She was 38 yrs.old., and died March 11, 2005. I miss her so much, but I want you to know your music has given me great joy and comfort. thank you so very very much. sending you Love, Nancy in Missouri

Eric Hilgendorf, Nashville, TN
You are truly amazing! Your latest CD, "Home by Another Way" makes want to use up all of my sick days just listening to it. It's like when I hear your songs, you have reached into my heart and squozen it.

Eric Hilgendorf, Nashville, TN
I can't get enough of these songs! I believe the digital format does a dis-service to them. These songs need to be hummed in the redwood forests, or chanted on misty mornings at the Abbey of Gethsemane, or yodeled among the alps, or whistled in the hallways of important offices. Chair, The Committee to Liberate Song

Betty Ann Filkins, Westerlo, NY
David is such an ispiration and proof that God makes the final decision! My friend Robin (Burkhardt) brought us together and now when we go on trips we listen to David's music which makes the trip not only immensly enjoyable but shorter! Our family has had more than its share of tragedy and this music pertains to all survivors... We love you man!

James Anderson, Kissimmee, Fl
I know you have heard it all before, however your music helps my days be a little brighter. My wife Sharon and I enjoyed talking with you at the FBTA confrence in Tampa. Hope to see and talk to you soon. Peace!

Laurie Schroeder, Buffalo, MN
I understand that you survived a brain tumor though you had been given little hope. I lead a praise team at Buffalo United Methodist Church and one of our singers has just been diagnosed with a glioblastoma multiforme tumor. He has been given a depressing prognosis. Is there any chance you might be willing to make contact with him to say "miracles happen." ? His family especially needs to find some hope, though the earthly odds are not good. Jim is an amazing man of faith, who has also taught junior high Sunday School in our church for many, many years. Every youth growing up in our congregation knows and loves him. Let me know if you might consider it and I will help make a connection. He is currently at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and was just diagnosed today (April 8).
