I just saw you last night in Des Moines -- you had another "angel thing" going on -- last night, right before I ran out the door to the concert, I had a hard time deciding what shoes to wear -- the ones I picked had Rafael's Angels on them -- it's not the pair I usually wear... I might not have seen the angels, or heard the angels, but they were there on my feet!!

My mother is currently battlling lung cancer. She could not attend, due to her health, but I did pick up one of your CD's for her. My daughter was diagnosis and has surgery on April 13, 2007-anaplastic astrocytoma WHO III. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy. In September she is to have reconstructive surgery because a piece of her skull needed to be removed because of the massive brain swelling.
My mother was diagnosis with a Schwanoma in June 2007 and has the gamma knife procedure in July 2007. Her brain tumor is benign and is currently under control.
At my office, there is also another family with a member who has brain cancer. He is currently at Shanes in Gainesville, FL. Two families working in a company of 700 employees what are the odds. They have been going through this for about 2 1/2 years.
Brain cancer effects everything human about the victim. I wish there was more hope.
I saw David at the FBTA Conference in Tampa, FL, February 2008. He is a gifted artist and I hope some day he has a concert in Orlando.
I only hope have better treatment is available for brain cancer patients soon.

Please keep on writing and singing from your heart - discovered you on your CD HOPE when I just began the long round of something's wrong but nobody knows how to help deal. Several years later, I'm living and each day is a gift and I can still work with my 14 toddlers in daycare 5 days a week because when the day is tough you always have a song that plays in my memory and I get thru the day. God bless you always in all of His wonderful ways.

We met on a USAirways flight. I was a Flight Attendant at the time (for USAirways) but not working that flight. We sat next to each other in First Class. I have yet to see you perform, but I always check your tour dates and cities. I see you're going to be in Pittsbugh, however I no longer live there since I have left the Airlines and now work for an Insurance Co who has a form of Reptile, and a Cavemen for mascots :>)) I'm in Virginia Beach, VA now.

I too am a survivor of Glioblastoma Multiforme. Diagnosed in Sept 05, I'm closing in on my 3 year anniversary of survivorship. In fact just last week I had my 5th brain surgery to remove tumors that had come back. It is certainly a challenge to wake up everyday with hope when this disease is so devasting, but by the grace of God I am filled with hope and faith everyday. My life is so rich there is no room for despair and depression and I choose everyday to live with hope that is steadfast and unwavering. You have been an insiration to me and I have several of your CD's. My favorite song is "Everything will be alright". I just cant' seem to hear those words enough. I have a much bigger story than I can tell here but let me just say I know that I'm going to be OK, God has given me that gift and whatever that means, I'm am so fine with the path that God has chosen for me and I'm trusting in his loving care. I would love to meet you someday and I'm actually working on that. A concert in Baraboo WI is on my list to get accomplished so be ready. Just keep on singing and writing those beautiful songs of Hope!

I had the world ahead of me, no worries, two young children, a graduate degree, rising career, a wonderful , loving wife, with her own professional career , WHAM .
I needed hope. I found your story, and your music. Your music has been with many a mri since the first.
I can’t describe what a blessing it is to have your music to listen to. Six plus years later, I struggle. I am alive, I have lost a lot. I have discovered life is about “Get To, NOT HAVE to”. I love your music.

Hello David. The blessing of loosing all that stuff you used to keep you up is that it gets to be renewed, refreshed, and updated. So you get to be lifted up even higher. I often think a series of thoughts would somehow make a good song idea but don't even know where to begin. Then I see guys like you just sing the words that come, not trying so hard to make them "a song", just singing for the shere joy of it, letting the music assist the words in saying whatever it is that's trying to bust out. I'm trying to repeat my comments on your Gestbook in 2007, when I first learned of you, from your good friend Nancy (who addresses many of the ABT functions). She gave us 2 of your CDs. I mentioned that I am also a brain tumor survivor, as is my sister, Shirley. (We first met Nancy online, then she came to Bermuda and we met her in person) and that I so related to your story.
Since that time, I have listened to your 2 CSs many times. Your music lifts my heart and soul - each song is like a sunbeam shining in with lots of light.

I have had the pleasure of hearing your music for the last ten years and never leave home without my david cds! I sing them all the time, out loud sometimes:) but especially when I have to have my yearly MRI. I have even gotten to see you one time, and my daughter got to see you and get her picture taken with you. She was so proud of that. Marlene died because of the side effects of a brain tumor. i seen you play in lincoln,ne on the 13th of april. I have to tell you that I did not get to talk with you that night but shach hands at the 11 oclock meet that morning. i was a bad drugy and went to prison but kknow I have been clean almost 5 years now. My wife is now on her with to prison and your song one more day hit home in a bug way. It has been a long time since I have cryed in front of anyone thank you for that too. I understand that you survived a brain tumor though you had been given little hope. I lead a praise team at Buffalo United Methodist Church and one of our singers has just been diagnosed with a glioblastoma multiforme tumor. He has been given a depressing prognosis. Is there any chance you might be willing to make contact with him to say "miracles happen." ? His family especially needs to find some hope, though the earthly odds are not good. Jim is an amazing man of faith, who has also taught junior high Sunday School in our church for many, many years. Every youth growing up in our congregation knows and loves him.
Let me know if you might consider it and I will help make a connection. He is currently at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and was just diagnosed today (April 8).
